David called the meeting to order. Present were Bob Canada, Gina Bent, Chris Corey, Eric DiVirgilio, David Fessenden, George Winters, Peter ook, Clarence and Marcia Farwell, Vicki and Jim Pope.
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted. The treasurer report was reviewed and accepted. The BHS was the grateful recipient of donations again this month.
The sales of the 2022 calendar’s were discussed. Sales have been brisk so far and we are hopeful to keep the momentum going. We discussed placing some calendars in the Library for sale. Peter Cook offered to secure permission for this endeavor. Pending this approval, Eric will drop off a group of calendars and the Pope’s will add notice of our fundraiser to the sign board in front of the annex on Main Street. Eric will use one of the BHS parade banners and the Lion’s club offered the A-frame sign board for added visibility when we are setup at the Transfer Station.
The roof over the doorway is making progress, with more to follow.
Peter Cook came bearing gifts to the BHS, including a wonderful 1892 map of Brookline that shows the Brookline Railroad’s first terminus at Lake Potanipo, prior to its extension to Milford. He also brought 2 fine examples of Brookline’s Tucker & Stiles scripts, and post cards. All of which have been donated to the BHS collection. Thank you Peter.
Next meeting Oct 13th, snacks to be provided by the Pope’s.
Meeting was adjourned.
